Non-surgical procedures for a rejuvenated appearance are becoming increasingly popular. In recent years, we have also seen an increasing demand for minimally invasive wrinkle treatment in our practice.Wrinkle treatment in Berlin. Depending on the various “problem areas” and individual wishes, different treatment methods can be used to counteract the unwelcome signs of skin ageing. We have summarized some of the methods at a glance below.

Botulinum toxin – the classic wrinkle treatment
Botox® is undoubtedly one of the best-known anti-wrinkle treatments. The active ingredient botulinum toxin contained in the preparation is a powerful neurotoxin that prevents the transmission of stimuli between nerve and muscle. Very small amounts of botulinum toxin are used for the treatment, making Botox® injections a safe procedure with no long-term consequences. The prerequisite for this is, of course, that an experienced specialist carries out the treatment.
Procedure: A Botox® treatment usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes. The exact duration of treatment depends primarily on the size and number of individual treatment areas. The botulinum toxin is injected into the corresponding region using a fine needle. The active substance spreads there and gradually inhibits the transmission of information from the nerve to the muscle. If the muscle cannot contract, the wrinkle that is perceived as annoying is no longer activated. Botox® treatment is often carried out without anesthesia and is very painless. If desired, an anesthetic cream can be applied beforehand.
Duration of results: The first results are visible after a few days. The effect of the botulinum toxin reaches its peak after about ten days. The body then breaks down the active ingredient naturally. How long it takes varies from person to person. The time span is usually around three to six months. As the wrinkle-smoothing effect also diminishes, the treatment must be repeated at regular intervals to ensure lasting results.
Filler against wrinkles and volume deficits
While Botox® is an effective treatment for mimic wrinkles, fillers are particularly suitable for correcting gravity-induced wrinkles and volume loss. In aesthetic medicine, fillers are natural, absorbable materials that can plump up wrinkles that are perceived as unpleasant from the inside out. Hyaluronic acid is one of the best-known fillers.
Procedure: The doctor injects the hyaluronic acid directly into the affected area of skin using a fine cannula. As hyaluronic acid is able to bind a lot of fluid, it lifts the unwelcome skin notch. This smoothes the skin. Lost volume can also be replaced very well with the help of hyaluronic acid. Anesthesia is not usually necessary for the treatment, as it is virtually painless due to the fine needle.
Duration of results: The body absorbs the hyaluronic acid within six to 24 months, so that the wrinkles become visible again. At the patient’s request, another injection can then be carried out to refresh the treatment results.
Fresher facial features thanks to autologous blood?
PRP therapy (also known as autologous blood therapy or vampire lifting) stimulates the body’s own collagen synthesis and cell renewal processes. The active ingredient in the treatment is concentrated blood plasma, which is rich in platelets (thrombocytes), proteins and growth factors. This gives rise to the term PRP for platelet-rich plasma.
Procedure: The vampire lift is also a type of wrinkle injection. After a small amount of blood has been taken from the patient and specially prepared, the doctor injects the preparation into the areas to be treated. There it promotes the regeneration and renewal processes that visibly improve the skin’s structure. In our practice, we apply PRP using dermapen (microneedling). The treatment is used to reduce small wrinkles, to tighten the skin and above all to reduce small scars (e.g. acne scars).
Duration of results: The first results of autologous blood therapy are visible approximately one week after the injection. The injected substances develop their full effect within the following weeks. The final results are visible after about four weeks. How long the rejuvenating effect lasts varies from patient to patient. As a rule, the duration is around twelve to 18 months.
Other options for youthful and firm skin
Our practice’s treatment repertoire also includes other non-surgical procedures to correct wrinkles, uneven skin tone and volume loss. The following treatments, among others, are suitable for a significantly fresher complexion:
- Microneedling A dermaroller/dermapen equipped with tiny needles stimulates the body’s own skin regeneration by causing microscopic injuries in the uppermost layer of the skin. Microneedling can be combined well with the vampire lift.
- HydraFacial The innovative procedure analyzes the skin and selects suitable serums for skin care accordingly. Part of the treatment is a deep cleansing of the skin, followed by a dermal infusion with highly effective antioxidants and other ingredients.
- Chemical peeling Chemical peeling carefully removes the top layer of skin to reveal younger, fresher skin. The procedure stimulates the skin’s own regeneration processes.
