A healthy and conscious lifestyle is becoming increasingly important in today’s society. Many men and women eat a balanced diet rich in nutrients and vitamins and keep physically fit. In addition to health and fitness, an athletic and well-trained body is often one of the personal goals. However, not every area of the body responds, which means that localized fat deposits can remain despite the efforts. In these cases, it is usually so-called stubborn fat that appears to be resistant to both diet and exercise.
For those affected, these fat deposits can be downright frustrating, as they simply cannot be removed. In aesthetic medicine, in addition to liposuction, there are also minimally invasive (non-surgical) treatments that make these unwanted fat cells disappear permanently from the body. These include WarmSculpting™ with SculpSure® and the fat-away injection (injection lipolysis).
Advantages compared to liposuction
Surgical liposuction is the classic aesthetic treatment for unwanted fat deposits. The fat cells are suctioned out of the body using a special cannula. The operation is performed under so-called tumescent anesthesia. Following the procedure, patients must wear a special compression girdle for several weeks.
Modern medicine is developing ever more gentle procedures, so that surgery is not always absolutely necessary. This also applies to aesthetic body shaping. With non-surgical methods, comparable results can be achieved with less stress.
Advantages at a glance:
What is WarmSculpting™?
WarmSculpting™ is performed with the special SculpSure® laser system. The applicator is placed on the treatment area and fixed there. The specially configured laser then emits energy to the tissue, resulting in a controlled rise in temperature. The heat literally melts the unwanted fat cells: they burst open and are then broken down by the body’s own processes.
The upper layer of skin remains intact during the treatment – everything only takes place in the depth of the tissue. A treatment with SculpSure® takes about 25 minutes. In addition to the abdomen, the chin, upper arms, thighs, hips and back can also be treated.
What is a fat-away injection?
Another option for non-surgical body shaping is fat-away injection (injection lipolysis). It works with a special natural active ingredient that stimulates fat loss. The active ingredient is injected directly into the affected area via a fine cannula. There it ensures that the membrane of the unwanted fat cells is destroyed. The fat cells are removed from the body with the help of a targeted inflammatory reaction.
The treatment with the fat-away injection takes 15 to 30 minutes. It takes place without additional anesthesia, but is nonetheless particularly painless. Only a slight prickling sensation can be felt during treatment.
How quickly can the results be seen?
Both WarmSculpting™ with SculpSure® and injection lipolysis do not produce the desired results overnight. The breakdown and removal of the fat cells takes several weeks to months. The results of the treatment can be seen after about twelve weeks.
Do the treatments have to be repeated?
According to current knowledge, the removed fat cells do not regenerate. This means that the results achieved are permanent. Nevertheless, they should continue to be supported with a healthy lifestyle and exercise.
For optimum results, however, it may be advisable to carry out more than one treatment. It is not possible to say in advance exactly how the treatment will work. A few weeks after the treatment, the results can be better estimated. If there is a desire to contour the body even further, a follow-up treatment can be carried out.
